Birzeit Heritage Week is an event organized by the Rozana Association, in cooperation and partnership with a number of other Birzeit organizations, in order to promote the preservation and development of the old town’s fabric of houses, attics, courtyards, and alleys. This year marks the third year for the Birzeit Heritage week festivities. Ilam is organizing its latest tour for journalists at the Birzeit Festival on Saturday July 18 2009.
The focus of the tour is to endorse notions of development and to contribute to the advancement of the Palestinian people and their economy. This is anticipated to become an annual event and will include a variety of Palestinian and international exhibits and presentations such as traditional handcrafts, food, drink, and music.
Programme Schedule
11am- Leave Nazareth towards Jerusalem
1:30pm- 3:30pm- Lunch at Jerusalem Hotel in Jerusalem
3:30pm- Journey to Bir Zeit via a number of Palestinian villages
4:30pm- Tour of various Photo, Art, Antiquities and Cultural Galleries and Street Performances by International Artists
7:30pm- Musical Performance by Sana’ Mousa Group
9pm- Departure from Bir Zeit and return to Nazareth
Transport:
