On February 27 2010, Ilam, with its partners The Galilee Society (Rikaz Databank) and Mada al-Carmel: Arab Center for Applied Social Research, will be hosting a press conference entitled "Presentation of Research Data on Arab Poverty in the Light of Israeli Aspirations to join OECD - Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development".
The event will run from 11am-1pm on February 27 2010 at the offices of the High Follow-up Committee for Arab Citizens in Israel in Nazareth.
The aim of the event is to build a Palestinian position to Israels attempts to join the OECD and to present findings and conclusions (including possible amendments to the agreement) stemming from the conference to OECDs decision makers.
The event is sponsored by the European Union (under the project Gender and Palestinian Minority Mainstreaming of the Israeli National Budget) and is made possible through the support of Ittijah and the High Follow-up Committee.
