I'lam partners with media NGOs, AmmanNet and Ramallah-based Amin, in launching 'Madmoun Jadeed' ('New Content'), a project aiming to encourage journalists to write in-depth, investigative reports on environmental issues, foreign labour, and consumer protection.
The investigative reporting initiative, to run until the end of 2011, will offer journalists professional guidance in preparing the reports, editing, with financial rewards as a means of encouraging similar investigative reports. The journalists participate in a competition that grades investigative pieces following trainings in the cities of Nazareth, Ramallah and Amman.
