Within the structure of I'lam’s investigative journalism course, 'Madmoun Jadeed'/'New Content', run in partnership with media NGOs, AmmanNet and Ramallah-based Amin, Kul al-Arab reporter, Khalid Waleed Abu Ahmed pens the following piece, entitled 'Racism in Communication and Transport'.
Drawing on research by the Galilee Society, Khalid describes how neglect and discrimination impact on the provision of public transportation in Arab localities, and also on the higher burden of communication costs on Arabs, the majority of whom live under the poverty line.
