I’lam Media Center announces the launch of new human rights courses under the an EU-financed action entitled, “Building a Culture for Human Rights Sensitive Media”. The courses follows I’lam’s research about the local Arab media’s coverage of human rights. The research findings will be revealed in a colloquium on June 12, 2012.
The courses are intended primarily for Arabic-speaking journalists, but will also be open to select civil society and human rights activists and teachers. The meetings will take place twice a month in Sakhnin city and the village of Baqa al-Gharbiyyeh. The courses will be conducted by experts in the fields of communications, human rights and journalism.
